LUBRICATION SOLUTIONS FOR ALL FARM REQUIREMENTS

Successful farmers not only understand crop or stock management – they keep an eye on the day-to-day maintenance needs of agricultural equipment too. This may range from large-scale machinery like tractors and combine-harvesters, to farm vehicles and smaller machinery, such as bakkies, trucks, trailers and mowers, among others.
“We understand that farmers need to stretch their rands, protect their equipment and keep their businesses running, which is why we’re working to develop value-packs for agricultural applications,” says Callum Ford, National Marketing Manager at Lubrication Engineers (LE) South Africa. “The right lubrication, applied at the correct interval and dosage, can help farmers minimize downtime and keep their equipment running optimally.”
To accommodate the requirements of bakkies and small trucks in the agricultural sector, LE South Africa is now supplying its Monolec® engine oils in 5l and 1l containers, making them more accessible to the domestic market. The company also works with farmers to ensure they have the best lubricant for each application, whether it’s a gearbox, diff or transmission.
“From tractors to bailers, trucks, air compressors, vacuum pumps or other agricultural machinery, we can help farmers to create a comprehensive lubrication reliability programme and share best practices that will protect equipment, increase production, and save time and money,” says Ford.
For bakkie, truck and mobile equipment engines, he recommends Monolec® Engine Oil 8700 or 8800. These products are designed to provide increased fuel efficiency, dependable performance and wear protection. Monolec® 8800 also provides extended-drain service for on- and off-road diesel engines, including stationary engines. Ford says 8700 is designed to last 50 000km before the oil needs changing, while 8800 will last an incredible 100 000km.
“When it comes to diffs and transmission, we suggest Monolec® Gear Lubricant 703 or 704, which meets the requirements of all types of differentials (including limited slip) and transmissions, as well as most industrial enclosed gearboxes,” says Ford. “It’s formulated to achieve the proper balance between load-
carrying capacity, film strength and lubricity, and will keep your agricultural machinery operating with maximum efficiency.”
LE South Africa also offers a comprehensive range of agricultural industry greases, rust and oxidation additives and food grade lubricants for agricultural processing plants.
“Farmers are some of the hardest working people we know, and we believe we need to give them lubrication solutions that are going to work just as hard for them,” Ford concludes.
