Enkhuizen / Netherlands, May 26, 2021 – This summer, Syngenta Flowers will be Blooming Brightly. Due to the pandemic, the Summer Trials have primarily moved to a virtual environment, showcasing more than 900 varieties, including over 100 new introductions of annuals, perennials and edibles. The of Syngenta Flowers team is excited to present the highlights in videos, photos and live webinars for growers, retailers and other industry-partners. A Corona-proof guided visit to the Summer Trials location in De Lier (NL) to see the whole range is also a possibility.
Shiny & New a must-see this year is the new series Petunia Fun House. Petunia breeder Dick van Kleinwee commented about this very exciting range: “Fun House are dynamic petunias with unique flower colors and patterns. It gives a fun addition to hanging basket and patio containers. Retailers love unusual varieties that capture consumers’ attention – sure to be a social media favorite!”
Sandra Verlaat, Head of Marketing Europe at Syngenta Flowers is pleased to see that customers and relations can – virtually – come and experience novelties like Fun House. “The Summer Trials is an answer to the cancelation of the annual FlowerTrials. This year, the focus will still be digital with informative webinars in several local languages and many highlight videos that show our top-products in the best quality possible, but we invite those who can travel to visit us in De Lier on appointment. One of the products I am particularly proud of is award-winning Rosebud Astrid that has a beautiful appearance and has fantastic growing qualities. Or learn more about our most recent innovation Xcarrier, a new dynamic tray to optimize production and distribution methods of young plants, introduced this spring.”
To join a webinar, people can sign up on the dedicated Blooming Brightly Summer Trials-website. Pre-register here.
For those who can travel in and to the Netherlands, it will be possible to visit the location in De Lier in week 24 and have a real-life experience of all novelties and highlights. The outdoor show field will stay open from week 24 till week 30. If you wish to book visit on appointment in week 24 and beyond, please contact your local sales representative or send an email to communications.flowers@syngenta.com.
