Resilient Agriculture Innovations for Nature Challenge 2025 for agricultural innovators in East Africa

Applications are now open for the 2025 Resilient Agriculture Innovations for Nature Challenge. GRP, together with Shockwave Foundation and Munich Re Foundation, invite agricultural innovators in East Africa to apply for the Resilient Agriculture Innovations for Nature (RAIN) challenge. Applications close 31 January 2025.
Requirements
- RAIN is open to not-for-profit organizations across public , local civil society , international NGOs and academia , as well as for-profit organizations , farmers , and entrepreneurs in East Africa (Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda ).
Benefits
- Winners will be connected with potential funders, receive a tailored mentoring program, and communications support to refine their messaging. In addition, they will be invited to an investor forum and pitching session in-person or virtually.
- Experts will facilitate a leadership academy for the shortlisted candidates.
- Finally, winners will receive a cash prize of up to 50,000 USD after the initial mentoring period and after the leadership academy.
Timeline
- Application window from 10 December 2024 – 31 January 2025 .
- Webinar for potential applicants on January 16, 2025 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. EAT. Register here .
- Application due on 31 January 2025 at 23:59 EAT
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified by mid-March 2025.
