As water scarcity, climate stress, and food security challenges intensify across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the 22nd Konya Agriculture Fair is positioning itself as a strategic platform for agricultural technology, trade partnerships, and regional cooperation.
The 22nd edition of the Konya Agriculture Fair will take place from April 7–11, 2026, at the Tüyap Konya Fairs Inc. venue, the Tüyap Konya International Fair Center. Organized by Tüyap Konya Fairs Inc. in cooperation with TARMAKBİR, the Turkish Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association, the fair will span 96,000 square meters and is expected to attract strong international participation.
The event brings together regional buyers, global manufacturers, importers, distributors, and policymakers seeking practical solutions to structural agricultural challenges. Exhibitors will showcase a wide range of agricultural mechanization and smart farming technologies, including tractors, harvesting machinery, irrigation systems, precision agriculture tools, automation solutions, and digital farm management systems.
Addressing Water Scarcity and Productivity Pressures in MENA
Agricultural systems across MENA face mounting pressure from declining water availability, rising production costs, and growing food demand. The Konya Agriculture Fair serves as a solution-oriented meeting point where technology providers and agricultural stakeholders can engage in direct procurement discussions, distributorship negotiations, and joint venture opportunities.
The fair is expected to highlight innovations designed to reduce water consumption, improve fuel efficiency, enhance precision planting and harvesting, and integrate automation into farm operations. These technologies align closely with modernization agendas across Gulf countries, North Africa, and broader MENA markets seeking to improve sustainable productivity.
Türkiye as a Strategic Agricultural and Logistics Hub
Konya, widely recognized as Türkiye’s agricultural capital, continues to strengthen its role as one of the region’s most established agricultural trade platforms. Türkiye’s strategic geographic location at the intersection of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East enhances its position as a logistical and industrial hub capable of supplying neighboring markets with shorter lead times and flexible production capacity.
This geographic advantage reinforces the fair’s importance as a bridge connecting agricultural markets in Türkiye with the wider MENA region. By facilitating technology transfer and regional dialogue, the event supports long-term cooperation, supply chain resilience, and investment partnerships.
Beyond Exhibition: A Platform for Sustainable Agricultural Cooperation
As climate variability and resource constraints reshape farming systems across MENA, platforms that integrate technology, trade, and policy dialogue are becoming increasingly critical. The 22nd Konya Agriculture Fair is positioned not merely as an exhibition, but as a working arena where stakeholders can develop practical solutions for sustainable agriculture, strengthen cross-border supply chains, and advance strategic cooperation between Türkiye and MENA economies.
