Nigeria, Pakistan to strenghten ties in agriculture

The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Nigeria, Major General Sohali Ahmad-Khan (rtd) and Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Sen.Dr Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, during the couresty visit in Abuja.
The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food security, Sen. Sabi Abdullahi, has said Nigeria will collaborate with Pakistan to explore areas of possible partnership in agriculture.
This was disclosed during a courtesy visit by Pakistan’s High Commissioner, Retired Major General Sohail Ahmad-Khan, in Abuja.
Senator Abdullahi emphasized the strong bilateral ties between the two nations, stating that both countries have much to gain from mutual cooperation.
“Nigeria is ready to partner with friends to create solutions that work for both nations,” he said,
He noted that President Bola Tinubu is committed to addressing food security challenges and climate related issues.
The High Commissioner Retired Major General Sohali Ahmad-Khan, expressed Pakistan’s interest in sharing expertise through training, research, and innovation.
He noted Pakistan’s global achievements in agriculture, including being a leading producer of cotton, sugar, rice, and meat.
Highlights of the event was the official presentation of the letter by the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Minister.
