Namibia’s agricultural sector posted a surplus of approximately US$8.0 million for the financial year ending 31 March 2025, according to the Namibian Agronomic Board.
In a statement issued on 8 January 2026, the board reported a surplus of N$152.3 million, up from N$107.6 million recorded in the previous financial year. The improved performance was attributed to higher agricultural levies, strong investment returns, and disciplined budget management.
The Agronomic Board said a portion of the surplus has been allocated to strengthening agricultural resilience funds, aimed at supporting the sector against climate and market-related risks.
