The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), in partnership with Autodex Nigeria Limited, has announced the second edition of the Farm, Food and Allied Technology (FARMFATECH) Expo 2025. Scheduled for 10–12 November in Nigeria’s capital, the event is poised to become a continental hub for agricultural innovation, food security, and cross-border agribusiness collaboration.
Dr. Emeka Obegolu, President of ACCI, described the Expo as a “gateway to modern agribusiness partnerships,” highlighting its scale and ambition. With 500 exhibitors, 76 participating countries, and over half a million expected visitors, FARMFATECH 2025 aims to deepen cooperation between Nigeria, China, and other global partners in advancing sustainable agriculture.
Representing Dr. Obegolu, ACCI Director General Mr. Agabaidu Chukwuemeka Jideani reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to economic diversification and industrial growth, positioning agriculture as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s development strategy.
“Our passion for the growth of Nigeria’s agricultural sector is at the heart of this Expo,” Jideani said. “We believe it will enhance productivity, strengthen food security, and create employment opportunities across the value chain.”
Autodex Nigeria Limited, co-organiser and technical partner of the Expo, is leading efforts to equip farmers with cutting-edge tools and technologies. Managing Director Mr. Tony Ifeakandu emphasized the importance of mechanisation and smart logistics in achieving food security.
“Nigeria’s farmers are hardworking and capable. Our role is to empower them with efficient machinery and clean-energy mobility solutions that reduce costs, improve yields, and accelerate access to markets,” he stated.
Autodex is also developing battery-swap and charging infrastructure to support agro-mechanisation and reliable field-to-market logistics. The company’s innovations include hybrid combustion and electric vehicles—tricycles, motorbikes, and utility vehicles—tailored for agricultural use.
Backed by Afreximbank and other strategic partners, FARMFATECH 2025 will showcase advancements in agro-mechanisation, food processing, and agricultural logistics. The Expo is expected to catalyse investment, foster regional trade, and promote sustainable farming practices across Africa.
As the continent faces mounting climate and food security challenges, FARMFATECH 2025 offers a timely platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and drive transformation in Africa’s agrifood systems.
