Five companies generated about $120 million, or nearly 30% of the earnings recorded by Nigeria’s top 100 non-oil exporters in April 2026, according to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The leading exporters were Dangote Fertiliser, Robust International Commodities, Tulip Cocoa Processing, Valency Agro Nigeria and Outspan Nigeria, highlighting the growing role of agriculture, agro-processing and fertiliser in Nigeria’s export economy.
Nigeria’s non-oil export earnings rose to $960 million in April, up from $770 million previously. Cashew nuts led exports with 21.25%, followed by urea at 14.15% and cocoa beans at 10.46%.
Dangote Fertiliser accounted for the largest share at 14.15%, followed by Robust International Commodities at 5.16%, Tulip Cocoa Processing at 4.03%, Valency Agro Nigeria at 3.17% and Outspan Nigeria at 3.01%.
The performance comes as Nigeria’s non-oil exports continue to expand. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council reported that non-oil exports reached a record $6.1 billion in 2025, up 11.5% from 2024.
However, exporters continue to face high logistics and port-handling costs, limited processing capacity and challenges around certification and market access.
The figures underline Nigeria’s growing potential to earn foreign exchange from agriculture, agro-processing and manufactured products, while strengthening its position in African and global markets.
